Wow its been a long time since I wrote one of these...Anyway, I thought in honor of Earth Day, and to give myself more reasons to post here again, I thought I would post photos of every Florida native plant that I have currently (I am always out and about looking for more).  I suspect my floral photos aren't as up to par as my butterfly work and I can make mistakes, like anyone else, so please point our any ID errors on my part.  Otherwise, I hope you all enjoy!

This has been years in the making and for months the IT staff at the Museum has been working hard to take my photos and put together a online ID Guide of butterflies found at Butterfly Rainforest!  People often ask if there is a guide of our butterflies they can buy, and sadly we don't (yet) but from now on they can go here:  http://www.flmnh.ufl.edu/butterflies/guide/ and ID just about any species they have seen in our exhibit at any point in our history!  I hope that anyone reading this will take the time to look at it and let me know what you think of the guide!  Every shot on there is mine, though they have been edited and cut in quality

Though I haven't disappeared over the course of the last six months I haven't written anything in that time so I thought I'd update anyone who cares out there.  In August I was in a car accident which totaled my car.  It was worth nothing so I took on some debt and got a good used car which I'm fairly proud of but I still didn't want to have to go through what I did to get it.  Butterflyfest was 3 weeks ago and it was hell, as always, and a week later I moved into yet another new apartment which is my 6th.  All the while taking a online trig class because the UF Entomology department lied to me and threw this new prereq at me.  All in all I c
