Certainly not my normal work and this shot is completely unedited but I thought it worth pointing out this happened today. I already have 2 inside cats plus 3 that live outside that I feed. 2 of the 3 outside cats are kittens of the one mom who was there when I moved in. Now that same mom has had 5 more kittens born just today. So yes they are very cute but it also means that for a time I will be feeding 10 cats! Plus they were born under my grill (hence the propane) which means no BBQ! Ah well, small price to pay I suppose.
They're soo cute!! I wanna come visit them! Well you too lol. I wanna come visit before i have to start looking for a new job.. so yeah how's next week? lol
Heh, I always knew it was the cats you wanted to see! But seriously, your always welcome to come visit just know I do have my final in pain....I mean chemistry next Tuesday.
Damn.. cause we were thinking about coming next weekend. like Sat night, thru tuesday morning.. or something like that
You should ask around at the shelters and see if they know of any one that will spay the strays for low cost or free, some Countys have catch and release programs also, what County are you in? I may be able to help. Its very harmful for cats to go through pregnancy's and births so much, especially if they are strays. I'm not trying to preach, trust me I would be the last person to tell you that what you are doing is wrong, I'm in much the same position and wouldn't go back an change it for anything. However if there's a way to make the lives of those babys parents even better, wouldn't you want to?
All Alachua County has is a catch and release program called Operation Catnip which in theory once a month they will give you a trap and they will come and collect the cats so UF students can practice fixing them. Its not free I'm afraid either. Trust me I've looked into it and it would be great if they had a spay shuttle like Palm Beach County has and I suspect if they did Alachua wouldn't have the huge stray cat problem it has. Well, that and if it wasn't for the students who leave they're cats when they graduate....
Thats just wrong! Hey I had you for 4 years and now you have to live on the streets, have a nice life kitty. That really sucks though, they don't have any special days at the shelters around you that you can bring them in for really low cost either? In Jersey they have that, its around 10$ for each cat. Meh I really hope somehing comes up so you can help them, its great that you feed them though.
I wish feeding them was the least I could do. I'm going to try my best to spay and neuter them but I already have 2 cats, both of which were strays, and I just can't take on anymore with what I make but I will make them as welcome to my pouch as I can.
Daw, your a grandpa...again lol.
I'm getting to old for this...dang cat
will they be going to a shelter?
