I'm sure many of you out there have at least seen photos of the Malachite before and I have no doubt there were better than the one you see before you. However, at the very least I can say that this is a true native Florida Malachite. Farmed right here in Florida they were sent to the Rainforst last week and this was one of the first to emerge. A mimic of the Dido, this is eaily one of the more colorful and sought after species in the state!

the colors really contrast nicely. The dido and the malachite are two of my favorites, honestly.
